Welcome To The BookPoets Newsletter!

Edition #1

Hey!

Welcome to my newsletter. For those that don’t know me, I currently run the Twitter page (sorry, still can’t call it X) called BookPoets. I imagine that’s where most of you are coming from.

I just wanted to write this quick post to introduce you to this new thing I’m trying out where I get to share more of what I enjoy with you all - which, if I’m being honest, will mainly be book-related stuff. I’ve always wanted to try writing a newsletter that will be sent straight to your inbox so hopefully this keeps me accountable to do just that.

I know a lot of you enjoy books and reading so I thought I’d share with you a few of the things you can expect from this newsletter. I’ve read a few different posts from other newsletters so I understand people have their own specific way of producing written content, but I wanted this to be a little bit different. I want this to be easy to digest and natural; something that you can read in about 5-10 minutes while you’re on a bus or waiting in line to pay for your groceries. One thing that I want to do with this newsletter is very minimal edits, so I want to write as if I’m talking to you face-to-face and share my thoughts as they happen.

Below are just a few of the topics I want to dive into with each weekly newsletter:

  • Book reviews & recommendations

  • Book news & updates

  • Lists of different book-related topics (e.g. short books to read)

  • Anything social media-related that I find interesting (and think you might enjoy, too)

That’s pretty much all from me. If I’m being honest, this is the first newsletter I’ve started so I know my writing will be a bit rusty but I’m excited to see where this will take us. I’ve got so many interesting book recommendations and insights that I can’t wait to share with you all and I hope that this newsletter serves as inspiration to read more this year… while also closing in on that To Be Read pile.

I look forward to reading your responses to this new project I’m starting and, if you haven’t already, I’d really appreciate it if you subscribe so you don’t miss out on any future posts.

All the best and see you next week!
